Talking "Carrie" on the Bonnie and Maude Movie Podcast

A couple of weeks back, I was lured out of my Troll Hole during one of our myriad East Coast Winter Storms to participate in a live-audience recording of the Bonnie and Maude podcast. Helmed by Kseniya Yarosh and Eleanor Kagan, the podcast is a genre-agnostic exploration of women in movies that takes a humorous approach to insightful observations.

“Carrie” is jam-packed with symbolism, uncomfortable moments and unexpected humor and we had a lot of fun exploring this movie. I can’t think of any other movie that blends teen Cinderella romance with women-in-prison titillation quite so beautifully. Plug it up and tune on in, interpals!
